Career Description
The banquet manager is responsible for the overall operation of the banquet department and for ensuring that all events are coordinated and executed flawlessly. He or she supervises the banquet staff, oversees the set-up and break-down of all banquet functions, and works closely with the catering sales manager to ensure that all events are within budget. The banquet manager must be able to think on his or her feet and solve problems quickly and efficiently. He or she must also be able to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude at all times.
